When you get a little arthritis in your old broken fingers repeating that twisting motion too often gets annoying. I prefer the QR plates. And yes, Bogen seems to have too many different ones. /jim -----Original Message----- From: owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Terry and Tracey Sent: Wednesday, December 24, 2003 2:50 AM To: olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [OM] tripods They are great. When I'm swapping bodies and lenses, it happens very fast. Without damaging the threads in the camera and tripod mount. Foxy ----- Original Message ----- I never have figured out the attraction of the so-called quick release plates. Why would you want to buy expensive chunks of metal with which to burden your cameras or lenses? And if you don't have/can't afford one on every piece of equipment they are harder to swap than just mounting directly. < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > < This message was delivered via the Olympus Mailing List > < For questions, mailto:owner-olympus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > < Web Page: http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright/olympuslist.html > |
