I often use just my 1-8 when shooting nature shots with my 75-150,
135 f2.8, 200 f4 (also with the 2x-A). I find it easier to focus on
nature (animals) especially when there are no straignt verticle lines
for a split image, and not enough light for the microprism. So, go
for it.
