e.g for economy air parcel, it's A$6.50 for up to 250g to Canada.
Check "letter" restrictions - different countries have different rules.
The US makes no restrictions other than a 4 lb weight. Australia says,
"(Anything larger than 260mm x 360mm, thicker than 20mm or heavier than
500g is considered a parcel) " A 250g letter is just $4.95 to Canada
