Tom,
While the list has evolved as you point out I am wondering if Lee
doesn't have a good point and maybe the list should devolve a bit and go
back to it's roots, especially in light of the fact that as people do go
to digital it may well be with a different maker than Olympus (gasp,
choke, sputter!!!)
The problem is that between off-topic and digital posts, the list
traffic is growing to the point where it is tough to keep up, even if
one is deleting posts you don't find interesting or relevant. I wonder
how many folks we have lost for just this reason.
I realize that a while back the discussion was made to make/keep the
list open to all Olympus discussion, but it may be time to rethink that.
On the other hand, if we split off all the off-topic and digital
discussion, will there be anything left? :)

Lee,
In this case I think the list HAS evolved with the changing world of
photography. There is just no way to ignore the trend towards digital. The
basic concept of the list is rooted in OM, but digital is creeping in, just
as it is in the world.
I think your time away from the list has allowed you to miss the evolution.
You mentioned the server move. Well, there has been a moderator move to,
from Shawn to Thomas Heide Clausen and Thomas is doing an outstanding job
(although we're all jealous that he is off diving in the south of France).
This issue came up quite awhile ago and after discussion, Thomas made the
final decision, which was that all things Olympus were on topic. So, that
issue has been decided.
Just don't make any mentioned of a Nikon Digital. Trust me.
