Well, they aren't supposed to be the same, as the single digit OM bodies
(and, of course, the OM2000) have mechanical 'B' and the others do not.
The shutter speed dial doesn't do anything at all in Auto Mode. However,
the 'B' setting in Manual Mode works correctly, although still using the
electronic function, so it doesn't work without batteries (and will use
them up).

It gives you an auto exposure, based on your selected aperture. It makes sense but that
red "B" on the PC *ain't* the same as the
red "B" on the 4!
