Mine is a B. I only know what I was told by the guy I bought it from. He
has been selling cameras as retail for 30+ years and dabbles in buy/sell
used equipment. When I was looking at the lens, he mentioned about the 2
different hoods. I think he also said they got swapped around occasionally.

The BB doesn't have the tripod mount that the B has, but comes with an
extender piece for the camera's tripod bush instead.
