I like holding it and playing with it :-) . I haven't used it yet. My
ratio of Tele to WA shots is probably 20 to 1. Walking around, I 'see'
tele shots all the time. I've been trying to train myself to understand
and 'see' WA shots, but it's a slow process beyond about 28mm. I got a
Tamron 28-200 about the same time and it has gotten all the testing so
far. I really do mean to try the 24-40 soon. I bought it to be part of a
lower light zoom kit. I got some great shots in Yosemite last year in
heavy low overcast with the 50/1.4 and Tamron SP 35-105/2.8, but my
Vivitar 19-35/3.5-4.5 was just too slow.
The Zuiko never attracted me. Doesn't go wide enough and it's slow.
What close focus issue? It focuses to .4m and the Zuiko only goes to
.65m. Seriously, I understand the idea of using wide angle lenses for
close-ups intellectually, but not visually, I guess. If I want a
close-up, I grab a macro. I see that my 24/2.8 focuses to .2m, but I've
never tried it that close. Guess that's another thing to put on the 'To
try' list.

Moose,
How do you like the Tokina? I sold my Zuiko 28-48, as It didn't have enough
range on the low end.
How much did you pay?

How do you like it, other than the close-focus issue?
