That's close to fang but not a fang. It may be worn on
the inside too. My first 4T is one ugly ugly duck
which I still have and use hard. When it came back
from Olympus overhaul a couple of years ago, a number
of gears and other parts had been replaced because of
being significantly worn. This was noted on the
invoice! The reason I sent it in was because a tiny
screw from a lens came off and fell inside the camera.
Being a engineer by trade I thought it is a accident
waiting to happen. Up to the point the 4T worked
great. The rewind was nice and crunchy like the Kiev
medium formats! It still is fairly crunchy. When they
come back from Camtech they are almost like OM1/2s in
rewind smoothness.

There was a post about 3 years ago where they did an
environment test on an OM4T. Only the Leica M6 faired
better and only slighty better.

When you have an ugly camera who will want to steal
it? Maybe they will take pity on you and give you
money to buy a nice shiny camera. Something that you
can sit around to look at and photograph.
