Don't forget the Oly 2 series screens. If you like a microprism focusing
area, the 2-13 is the only choice for a brighter screen, as Beattie
doesn't do microprisms. I have a Beattie 82400 in my OM-4 and a 2-13 in
the Om-4Ti. Unscientifically, it seems to me the Oly is a bit brighter.
For the OM-1(n) & OM-2(n):
The Beatties will fit directly, whereas the Olys require cutting off
part of the tab. Both will throw the metering off on the OM-1(n) and the
viewfinder meter of the the OM-2(n). TTL metering on the the OM-2(n) is
unaffected. I just tried the Beattie in an OM-1. It reads one stop
faster than a 1-13 screen, so without an adjustment of the meter, you
would have to set the film sped dial to 1/2 the actual film speed to
avoid consistent underexposure.

Try that again, with all the links:
Our own John Hermanson of Camtech http://www.zuiko.com/ and B&H
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ both sell Beattie screens. I am sure both would
ship to
Germany. You could also check with Beattie at http://www.intenscreen.com/
for a local dealer.
