Unfortunately, the photograph/image is also part of that exterior world.
Your senses are equally deceived by the representation as by the 'reality.'
I recommend an early Russell Crowe movie - 'Proof' - as an exploration of
the use of photography to establish a reality and trust in others.

Depends on whether you see time as strictly linear or a progression of
