1. Keep it as short & unextended & stiff as possible. Put it on a rock or
table or other solid object to gain height.
2. Hang your camera bag on it to damp vibrations
3. (Olympus advice) Hold camera when taking a picture. (Probably doesn't
apply when using Bulb.
4. Use mirror lock or self timer to reduce vibrations from camera's
innards.
