Jim,
When I went to Italy, I was very sad that I never got a chance
to ride. I was still in my top racing form back then, and I
kinda drooled at being able to ride with some of the local racer
types.
Why ship and assemble a bike? Why not get a nice Italian steel
frame'd bike while there? Much better than those cheep
titanium/carbon fiber weenie bikes.
Make sure you get "cramp-n-go" instead of Shimano.
