NO, NO, NO! YOU HAD TO ASK!
1. The SC 100/2.8 has no equal in the Sharpness/Bokeh
department.
2. Smoother, warmer, less "sanitary" imaging. Essentially, SC
lenses have character that the newer MC lenses don't have the
same amount of. Remember, a "perfect" lens changes nothing from
the original scene. These less "perfect" lenses happen to
adjust the imaging just enough to please my pallet and my
artistic tastes--I don't take "record shots".
3. They look cool!
4. And, they've been what I could afford.
