Cello, eh? I'm a violin man myself (played unitl college and then dropped
it). I like the shot of the cello on the main page; very interesting
effect. I also like the JAL wing shot.
Where in DE are you from? I visited in Dusseldorf / Duisburg last year for
business. Oh, boy, I did enjoy the Christmas Markets!

Subject: [OM] just another Intro
Hello everybody...
just having discovered this list, knowing that I can't keep quiet for
very long anyway, let me give you some facts...
Caught the OM Virus from my father. My first OM was an OM2, bought in
Singapore, where I happened to be on tour with a youth orchestra -
playing the cello. At that time I tried not to do that professionally,
but becoming a psychologist instead. This did not work out at all - I
could not just listen and keep quiet ;), and the research area that
really interested me - (how does the brain work?) was somehow a little
too large...So later I studied the cello and got a job in a sinfony
orchestra (we skip some 20 years now :)), which toured to Japan, where I
fell over a just newly released C2000Z. I had not planned to buy one
(always short of money....), but took the time - having sushi meanwhile
- to imagine how I would feel the next morning if I had *not got this
thing. I decided I would feel very bad indeed, so I bought it :)) It was
- and is - so much fun to have this luxury - snapshot - camera, I think.
It did trigger my interest in my OM again too, at the time I had another
body (OM1), 1.8/50, 4/200 and the 2.8/90 Sigma Makro, which I like very
much. To cut a long story of luck, evilbay ;), buying and selling short,
the equipment now consists of OM4Ti - champagne, 2.8/24, 2/28,
1.2/55, 2.8/90 Sigma and 2.8/180 (got it in Holland while on tour with
our orchestra ;) a month ago - it had been used a lot and is still at
Olympus for some minor mendings), winder 2, F280 and the digi of course.
I like doing portraits, landscape, makro - as long as it's relaxed and
remains a hobby. I did infect two colleagues already with the Olympus
Virus - at least digiwise. With xmas holiday coming up next week, I hope
to find the time to upload some recent fotos to my site, which needs
quite some brushing up...but if you are not too critical you are welcome
to have a look at www.cellolady.de. It's still mostly digital, because
the filmscanner is pretty new in the house.
Please don't tell me there is a 2/90 OM for sale on ebay, please.... ;)
Thanks for reading all that, I like the TOPE sites and look forward to
heaps of information, new ideas and people from the list!
Enough for today,
regards
Doro
