I am afraid you got burned on this one. A fully
fuctional model on E-bay runs about $150 from what
I've seen and there are plenty of deals to be made. 2
monts ago I got an OM-1n whose only problem was foam
rot (sent it off to be CLA by John H.) with a very
nice 50mm/1.4 for 125 plus shipping. I recently also
received a beat up but still fully functional OM-1
which I am selling for $75 if you would like (blatant
sales pitch) that only needs a CLA to be restored to
perfect working order I think. Anyway whoever sold
this camera in 'good' condition either was outright
lying or strongly embelleshing the truth. If you want
to purchase OM stuff it might be better to go with a
store or ask on the list. I am sure that someone would
be willing to help you out. E-bay is a crapshoot
sometimes, items described in excellent condition can
turn out to have unforeseen problems or be in just bad
condition, and sometimes items described with major
problems turn out to only have minor ones leaving you
with a diamond.
