Hello everyone,
Would somebody who know scanners please try to help me out. I've hooked up
my Scanwit 2720S. I put in the SCSI card correctly, I think. I plugged the
scanner to the SCSI connection, using the IN port on the scanner as
instructed if there are no other SCSI cards, and set the number to 1. I ran
the MiraPhoto Driver from the CD. It installed completely. I rebooted,
attached the power cord to the scanner, and powered it up. The Status light
blinked as it should for a few seconds and then stopped blinking. I loaded
the slide tray with four slides and fed it into the scanner, pushed the
Scan button and nothing happened. I have no idea what an SCSI card *is*, so
I don't know if I have another one or not. If there is another one, the
instructions say to attach the plug to the Out connection on the scanner
and switch to a higher number. I did that and selected number 2. Then, I
tried number 3. I've looked in "My Computer" and the scanner doesn't show
up as the Smartcard reader does, for instance. I'm about ready to unhook
everything from the computer and try reinstalling the card, but before I do
it all over again, I thought I'd see if anyone has any idea what I'm doing
wrong.
Thanks,
John
