To see the different you need to use both scanner to scan the same
slide and it is better to have something with clear detail such as a
street scene with some tiny street name or car number for easier
comparison. Gary use a map, which is a good approach, the best way is
to use resolution chart.
http://www.imaging-resource.com has some detail testes on 2700dpi and
SS4000.
