Ok, please - someone - wrap Tom in cotton and put him where nothing can
harm him. He'd be unfair competition to be up against. ;)
More seriously, when I go out for photography, I usually try to bring as
identical equipment as possible. If I need more than one body, I try to
take identical (or almost identicals) to avoid being confused by "which
body does what?". For example, I usually (almost always?) use manual mode
for setting the exposure. To me, it is a bad idea to bring an OM2s/p
(which in manual mode does spot-metering) and OM4 (or any other
body) since those *by default* doesn't do spot metering. If I bring the
2s/p and the 4, I usually end up exposing wrongly (i.e. assuming
spot-metering) with the 4.
So I would strongly support getting *identical* bodies, whenever
possible, or - alternatively - similar bodies (e.g. the OM2 and OM1 would
go ok together).
