I forget who it was (Tom Scales?) who told me, when discussing my OM-2S, "If
it dies, just get another one". Well, that is exactly what I would do. Just
go buy another one. I suppose if two of them were to die on me back to back
in short order, I might avoid them, but I don't hear of that happening, and
don't expect to experience it. Electronics generally either fail right up
front, when new, or last quite awhile. I'm not worried about my OM-2S
"dying" on me. More likely, I will drop or otherwise damage it, lose it, or
it will be stolen, gawd forbid. Where else could I get the features again
for the price, in ANY other camera? Anyone?
