laptop batts Re: [OM] NiCd vs. NiMH; cookies

is it possible to put a 3rd party Li-ion cell in a laptop otherwise
equipped with a NiMH? Gonna get dad one shortly, and given his usage
requirments, Li-ion is the way to go. have those cells in the camcorder,
super stuff.
