The Vivitar 17-28mm is almost certainly the Samyang-made 17-28mm, reportedly
a very good lens for the money. The Samyang has lots of fans, including
discriminating pros and serious amateurs.
Now there's a niche Olympus could fill, albeit with some compromises to be
priced competitively. Say, $200-300 street price. Lots of demand these
days for WA zooms. (Wonder if Cosina is listening?)

Any one have any opinions on the Vivitar 17-28 that the Olympus guy has on
his site?
