: A lot of weight? A 230g difference between a 50mm f2 and a 90mm f2 is not : what I would exactly call a lot - in the scheme of things. I was comparing the 550g of the 90/2 with the 200g of the 50/3.5 which I think the questioner owns now (I did not save the mail). This difference of 350g is like carrying three lenses instead of one. Very good downhill, very nasty uphill. The other combinations are even worse: 135/4.5+65~116: 700g; Kiron 1:1 macro 105/2.8: 620g.
