I agree Gary that if something is wrong, merely telling people about it
does not make it right.
However, this is a contract between the corporation (name???) and its
employees; its fairness or otherwise is covered under contract law and the
value of any photos would be debatable if the company had not asked for
them.
It's my guess that contract law in the USA is fairly loose; in GB we have
law covering unfair terms and a civil court has the discretion to interpret
law for "reasonableness" (my word) on a case by case basis.
