Lockheed Martin. Well, first there's the fact that anyone halfway serious
about his or her work will know what to do, whether that be to enter or
not to enter. And if entering, will do so more for the fun factor and
friendly recognition, rather than to get something material out of it
(and will submit accordingly; if I have one spectacular image and one
that's so so, and I'm a serious photog, guess which gets sent where). For
the rest of the amateur/casual crowd it's just a little matter. What are
the odds that an amateur, say me, will churn out a Pulitzer prize winner?
Slim. The chances are there, but for all practical purposes, they are
close enough to zero to be called zero. Well, those are my words of (lack
of) wisdom ;-)
