Actually, I weigh mine. Verified this theory easily by holding one of my
SC lenses (50/1.8 and 28/3.5) in one hand and one of my MC lenses (50/1.2,
35-105, and 35 shift) in the other. In each comparison the MC was
definitely heavier than either SC. I think MC means *Massive* Coating.
Have never been able to figure out what the "S" in SC means though.
