<<The gotcha is that you'd have to have constant light output for the 10-15 millisecond travel time of the curtains. To do that with a strobe requires firing it lots of times in quick succession, which in turn requires heavy-duty power and nontrivial control. It could be done, but us real people might not be able to afford it...>> I was thinking more of a tube that acts as a flash bulb. I believe it starts to fire on release of the shutter and exposes during the duration of the shutter speed. The 280 fires multiple times across the path of exposure. (still cool though!)
