Completely off topic I'm afraid, but there's such a breadth of
knowledge/interest out there perhaps someone can help.
I'm trying to restore a Swiss music box from (probably) the 1950's.
Three of the prongs on the comb are broken. As the tune is defined by
the pins on the drum, if I can get a replacement from another
mechanism, that will work. I've looked on eBay but all the combs
there are 18 or 19 note. I'm trying to replace one with 28 notes
(there is a 29th arm on the comb, but that's wider and I don't think
it is plucked). The broken comb has two fixing holes and a mark on it
in the shape of an anchor if that helps identify the maker.
