During my stay in Pisa in September, I took the train to the nearby town of
Pontedera one afternoon. It is a small, somewhat nondescript town, but it hosts
an important piece of Italy’s history: the headquarters of the Piaggio company,
creators of the iconic Vespa in the immediate aftermath of World War II. Today
it is a museum showcasing the various models created over the years, as well as
other motorcycle brands in the Piaggio fold, including Gilera, Moto Guzzi and
Laverda. A small gallery, literally covering the walk from the train station to
the museum, the visit at the museum, and the walk back to the station, is here:

As always, comments and critique are welcome and appreciated.
