Greetings,
I'm in the process of constructing a light proof enclosure to house a UV
lamp to keep lenses free from fungal growth, I contacted a University
Prof on the subject for some advice on the correct type of UV lamp to
use, here is his reply "/You need to use a germicidal lamp that emits
UVC radiation at 254 nm wavelength, exposure of few hours each month
should be enough to inactivate microorganisms/" he also advised not to
look at the light as it can cause damage to eyes .
