Just thinking about it, in the situation where you're photographing the
interior of a room lit with tungsten and have a window overlooking a garden,
you can correct the white balance of the interior images separately from the
exterior images.
Even before that, any of these apps that do Raw are licensing DCRaw or another converter, the name of which isn't
available in this brain at this time. Cutesy name.
And I don't want those conversions.
Helicon Focus installs an export profile in LR, and one may make up one's own and save it for any other stacker. HF has
the advantage that it opens automagically and, when you close it, it pops back to LR, with the result already in the
catalog.
Select frames, two clicks and HF opens with the TIFFs open.
