<<<Have you ever thought about the K-1 with Astro tracer? It is interesting to read about the Astro tracer. Thanks for the link. I think Chuck brought it up when it first appeared. There are a bit more recent cams with that feature too. I liked this link too: https://milkywayphotographers.com/article/2021/01/21/pentax-astrotracer-guide-what-it-is-and-how-to-use-it/ It is a very interesting use of IBIS movements but the technique doesn't take kindly to ultra-wides for unclear reasons.. My sense is that even though the sensors APSC sensors are a bit larger than MFT the advancement in sensor tech in the recently Oly cams will result in cleaner files on MFT. The HHHR technique does indeed stack the stars and takes 16 shots which worked fine for the FL's we tried but I bet longer FL's would result in mushy results as the stars would move too far for the stack to work. Better off manual stacking then most likely than shortening the exposure time for each image--that is speculation. The longer FL work OK for shorter exposures with the astro tracer.
