OK, then. I'm going to definitely make a very specific recommendation.
Get a pair of the "pocket" LED light panels. These are just about
perfect for your flower photography. They are more than powerful
enough, and their natural shape is already a flat-panel diffuse light
design. You can control the brightness of each light, as well as the
color temperature. As they are a continuous lightsource, you don't
have to guess at exposure, composition or lighting effect. Best of
all, they are perfectly shaped for throwing a handful of them into a
space that a single lens would occupy in a bag. They literally are the
size, shape, thickness, and weight of a premium-grade cellphone. Most
have at least two screw mount points and come with a tilting shoe
adapter.
The color index (CI) of these are excellent.
