I do believe that Moose must have upgraded the firmware to include the
"Moosification" plug-ins. The E-300 and E-400 produce better images
than they really should. This picture is a case-in-point. Ancient 4/3
CCD sensors with only half a stop of DR shouldn't be this good. As we
all know, it takes a full-frame CMOS sensor with no less than 40MP and
monster glass to make usable images. I'll struggle along for now.
Interesting thing about lenses on the E-400. The 14-42 is better at
14mm than the 14-54, and almost as good at the rest of the ranges. It
feels much better on the E-400 too. But the mirror/shutter shock is
insane with the 14-42. It is mostly neutralized by the mass of the
14-54. On the E-300, the shock is neutralized by the body and the
swinging mirror. On the E-1 there is no shock with either lens. The
E-3 is closer to the E-300 than the E-1.
