This was a bit of a surprise. A retired B-52H down at the Davis-Monthan
AFB (aka Davis-Mothballs) boneyard was "regenerated" and returned to service.
It was flown to Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, Louisiana, and will later be sent
to the Air Logistics Center to be fully refurbished and returned to service. A
second B-52H is currently undergoing regeneration. Here are some news links:
