Yes, but it would have taken quite a while to get there, I thought, Jim. I
mentioned it because I work with Aviation Medicine professionals Monday to
Wednesday; loads of things start to go wrong when you’re hypoxic and that can
start below 10,000ft it is now realised.
I am now not supposed to fly above 8,000ft amsl unless I have to, and I’m
forbidden from exceeding 10,000ft. in the past when I’ve had to fly that high
because of weather conditions, I’ve used it to show a student the effects of
altitude – the changing colour of the sky (slight, I know) and the reduced
noise from the engine etc . . .
