I think I mentioned before that there is a special edition titanium om-5 mk2 in the window of my local camera shop
that keeps catching my eye and I do like like the idea of the smaller PLeica even if I lose a stop at the far end it's
worth it for the extra reach
Actually, the PLeica is only 1/3 stop slower at the long end - and over 1/3 faster at the short end. Toss-up on speed,
overall. At 600 mm eq, 400 on APS-C and 300 on µ4/3, they are the same speed.
- maybe I should think about trading the Fuji 100-400 and TC 1.4 and my canyon 5d mk2 in for that setup and I would
gain focus stacking or is it bracketing
It's "Bracketing" where combining them happens in post, on the E-M5 II, with very flexible range of settings and works
with any AF lens. "Stacking", which happens in-camera, is E-M1s only, but also close to useless, as it only takes 8
slices and only works with 3-4 lenses. The Columbine images I just posted are Bracketed.
On a fuji note I am very pleased with the sharpness from the 10-24 it seems to
match (or better) the 4/3 olympus 7-14
Not sure what that means, as the zoom ranges don't even overlap. 7-14 is harder
to design than 10-24.
