If there is no use/market for an antivirus system, why bother to develop
and offer the product? Generally there is no use for an antivirus in a
UNIX or Linux (or even Apple) environment. However, behind these systems
might lie windows systems that might be affected, so most of the
enterprise vendors still sell a solution for integration into your
UNIX/Linux mail and web proxy systems.
Anti-SPAM is another thing altogether (chorus: "anti-spam is another
thing...") :) For freeware, CLamAV is available.
