Judging from the stiffness of the back cover release, my guess is that it
just needs a good cleaning and lubrication. The inside is spotless and the
outside just has the usual scratches on the battery compartment and autowinder
covers. I'll get a body cap for it and set it aside for now.
I've always had a high regard for Pentax cameras. They made some very
decisions throughout their history with regard to the lens mount,adding the
autofocus contacts to the mating flange, which later allowed you to use their
lenses with their digital bodies at no additional expense.
