> 9 Change over from driving on the left to the right
Ah, the truth comes out. It really would be the end of the world as we
know it. And all the blame was being placed on the Metric System.
In this world of globalization (talk about a circular statement), I
believe that there is room for an independent UK. It may seem odd, but
this is something unique (to a certain extent) about Singapore, Dubai
and Panama. They don't actually produce anything, but are the anchors
of trade. Modern day Venice. This has been a significant strength of
England too. The next one to fall from the EU could be The
Netherlands, because of trade. From a banking perspective, if London
wants to remain THE global banking center, they can't be swallowed up
by being just the EU banking center. If The Netherlands wants to
remain a global shipping powerhouse, it can't be swallowed up being
just EU. Short term gain, long term loss.
The "federalization" of the EU has increased dramatically over the
past 20 years with absolutely no end in sight. This was the UK's
"Screw you, King George III" moment. It took about 240 years for you
all to figure out what we "Yanks" were all upset about.
