My first ride in a jet aircraft was in a T-33 at ROTC field training at
Otis AFB in the summer of 1971. I remember the A/C conking out and it got very
warm while doing barrel rolls over Martha's Vineyard.
The last time I saw one was during a PANG weekend drill at Harrisburg
IAP. It was the personal aircraft of an ANG general and is was brightly
polished. While he was visiting our HQ there was a pair of support guys
polishing it. Damned nice.
