Chris,
That is one of the advantages of using a fast 50mm on the E-1. Although
the perspective is that of a 50, with a crop factor of two I get the
field of view of a 100mm, with the ability to focus down to 18 inches.
I can then select the lens opening to get the DOF that I need.

I was wondering as those are large flowers and yet the entire flower is
in focus. I usually have to resort to a near-telephoto FL such as 85-135mm
from 1m away to get a photo such as that.
