4T may be louder due to the double mirror mechanism.

For a while I had both of those cameras at the same time. The shutter sound
was different and the OM-2n was a little quieter but the difference to my
ear was not dramatic. Have a listen here to refresh your memory:

Hi all,
I am new to the mailing list. Previously had an OM-2n that I enjoyed
a lot. Made the mistake of selling that years ago and recently
decided to buy another OM camera. Ended up buy an OM-4T plus 3 OM
lenses (24/2.8, 40/2, 90/2 macro).
The one thing I've noticed as a negative so far is that the OM-4T
shutter/mirror sound seems to be a lot louder than what I remember
with my OM-2n. This may just be my memory of the OM-2n or the fact
that my other film camera is a very quiet Leica MP. Is the OM-4T as
much louder than an OM-2n as I think it is?
