I was so impressed by the review I have just ordered one (sirui t25X) I
had been considering the velbon but the sirui is lighter and carbon and
has enough features to keep me satisfied.
Off to Wales again soon so will have a chance to test it out then.

BTW for non facebook users and followers of Cai's progress which has
pretty much been stable for the last few years, he had an operation last
week to close the stoma in his trachea, the trachestomy tube itself was
removed five years ago and with the words "it will close itself in an
hour" ringing in my ears we waited, it didn't close, so we assumed he
still needed it but now we have taken the plunge and closed it. His sats
(oxygen level) is fine and we hope it will stay that way if he gets
sick. Cai originally had the tracheostomy because of paralised vocal
chords when born however they are working fine now - he got himself up
and was on the toilet at 6am this morning and we could hear him singing
to himself quite clearly two stories higher up. Next chapter now in his
story is to learn to drink - he now eats all his food by mouth provided
its pureed fine enough.
