You sure got that one right. I was just trying to explain exactly the
same thing to my wife tonight after dinner. When it gets too deep for
her she throws up her hands and says: "TMI" for Too Much Information.
But to my surprise tonight I think she did understand the wi-fi/cellular
difference after explaining the cost differences between wire/fiber as
an expandable resource and radio signals and radio bandwidth as a very
finite resource.
Perhaps she's doing better than me. I'm still stuck at folding fitted sheets. :-) Chuck Norcutt On 1/1/2015 11:18 AM, Bob Whitmire wrote: Sometimes, things just don’t compute. Joan is hands-down one of the smartest people I know. But just the other day I had to explain to her the difference between wi-fi signal and cellular signal. Stuff like that just bounces off her head. Kinda like learning how to fold a fitted sheet bounces off mine. <g> --Bob Whitmire Certified Neanderthal On Jan 1, 2015, at 7:40 AM, ChrisB <ftog@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:I’ve given up explaining to different people (but particularly my mother), that WiFi does not necessarily mean connection to the Internet, or vice versa. -- _________________________________________________________________ Options: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/listinfo/olympus Archives: http://lists.thomasclausen.net/mailman/private/olympus/ Themed Olympus Photo Exhibition: http://www.tope.nl/ |
