How could it do that? It is entirely mechanical, nothing electrical in it at all. Adding contacts and a chip to report
what it is would probably add at least 50% to the price.
The other thing is that ideally it should give its name, but not the EXIF focal length. Nine mm is purely nominal, or
notional, or some such, as its mapping of space is quite different from a rectilinear 9 mm lens. And also, different
from a conventional fisheye, either 180° as a circle, or the more common 180° corner to corner. It's "only" 140°, corner
to corner, according to Oly.
