Ah, but moose, I was making a joke, however lame it was.

I probably worry too much about innocents wandering the web, running across such deadpan humor - which all the
humorist's peers 'get' - and ruining something of theirs.
I just had a question via B&H about whether the GX7 is a good upgrade from a Panny FZ50. An honest, innocent question,
but revealing such a lack of knowledge ... From the fact that this person had been apparently happily using an
all-in-one, small sensor superzoom from 2006 for eight years, and wants something that does the same thing, but is
smaller and lighter, a GX7 sounds like a poor choice.
One reply waxed lyrical about the GX7, writing as though to another (D)SLR/ILC using person. I responded that the
question is like asking if a sedan is a good upgrade from a pickup, or the reverse, went on to a very brief description
of the differences and suggested some cameras that met the questioner's stated criteria.
The world is highly technical and complex in so many ways. Many, many of us turn to web searches to learn about tech
things we don't understand. I have learned so much about so many things that way, and saved so much trail and error or
destruction and so many $ that I value it a lot.
Overly Empathetic Moose?
