This was an issue in the Quebec vote where the bulk of the Francophone
population resides in a few cities near the US border. 90% of the
province by area is English or indigenous speaking with no desire to
leave Canada. So the question was, "If Canada is dividable then why not
Quebec?"
disenfranchised potentially by 16 year old voters or EU citizens living short
term in Scotland...
My survey sample isn't very scientific. It seems that English move to
Scotland to escape the rat-race and open a B&B much as the Californians
do here. They were unanimous in not wanting to give up their UK
citizenship.
My prediction: NO by at least 55%. In the end the greater % of the large
block of undecided voters will stick with the devil that they know.
