Right there Mike. A nail-biter...
A No vote will result in 2 million relieved Scots and 2 million
Nationalists who are dissappointed but nevertheless philosphical that
they gave it their best shot.
A Yes vote will result in 2 million triumphalist xenophobes and 2
million angry bitter enraged United Kingdom citizens in Scotland who
have been disenfranchised potentially by 16 year old voters or EU
citizens living short term in Scotland

Well the US has pretty much sorted that possibility out with the Civil
War. The closest N. American equivalent would be Le Parti Québécois.
The Canadian provinces have much more autonomy than US states do. I
don't fully understand the relationship between England, Scotland,
Wales etc. It sure has been muddled by a long history. Clearly looser
than that of the Canadian provinces to Ottawa but tighter than
Sovereignty Association. Looks like the Scottish election will a
nail-biter just like the last election in Québéc. Best summation that
I heard in Scotland was to either vote your heart or your pocketbook.
I'm glad that I don't have to make the choice.
