I believe it was worth the extra effort.
I've wondered if the developers of Focus Magic included old time
computer folks. A common use of FM was to describe how something
obscure or difficult actually worked or fixed a problem - F__ing Magic.
In this case, it has done a great job, but the most forward petals are
still troublesome to my eyes. My 70 yer old knees are still in good
shape, so I could sit down on the ground, shoot - and still get up. ;-)
Tripods and tilting screens can help, too. Does the Fuji do remote
viewing and shooting via WiFi? If so, you could hold the camera down
with one hand and frame and shoot with the other.
