After Moose (on the OM list) commented on the soft or back focus of the gladiola image, I chose to apply Focus Magic
to the image to attempt to improve the focus. Here are the results.

I believe it was worth the extra effort.
I've wondered if the developers of Focus Magic included old time computer folks. A common use of FM was to describe how
something obscure or difficult actually worked or fixed a problem - F__ing Magic.
In this case, it has done a great job, but the most forward petals are still troublesome to my eyes. My 70 yer old knees
are still in good shape, so I could sit down on the ground, shoot - and still get up. ;-)
Tripods and tilting screens can help, too. Does the Fuji do remote viewing and shooting via WiFi? If so, you could hold
the camera down with one hand and frame and shoot with the other.
